This month at unco we're giving a shout for Local Libraries. Libraries can be great places to expand your reading without diminishing your budget. If a Scottish book is hard to find and/or your budget is tight - or you're nervous about stepping out of your comfort zone - libraries give you a great chance to read for free. ![]()
6th February is National Libraries Day and to celebrate we're giving away a free ebook version of 'It Wisnae Me,' Cally Phillips' 2nd collection of short stories in Scots. For the whole of February you can get it in all ebook formats FREE right here at unco.
February is also the month when thoughts turn to love. Our February 'picks' are by three very different Scottish women writers. Why not pick any of them as your 'unco' book challenge for February? Or just read for fun.
In other news... We are still working hard on the first 50 unco authors - and are including buying links wherever possible. We hope to have this completed by the end of February. To this end we have affiliated with Amazon and Abe Books to provide direct links to books on their sites. We hope you'll choose unco as your first port of call to buy books - but we only stock a few of the many titles we recommend and we're trying to take some of the effort out of finding them for you so that you can purchase with as few clicks as possible.
